Taxi Málaga Airport → Úbeda and Baeza
Úbeda and Baeza are the furthest north we go: 250 km and roughly two hours and forty minutes from Málaga Airport. The route follows the A-45 and A-92 to Granada, the A-44 up to Jaén and finally the A-316 heading east across the olive hills of the Loma. Baeza comes first, Úbeda ten minutes later. Both are UNESCO World Heritage towns and share one price. 48 hours' notice, please.
Prices by vehicle
| Vehicle | Total price (VAT included) |
|---|---|
| Sedan 1-4 passengers, 3 suitcases. | €329 |
| Estate 1-4 passengers, 5 suitcases, skis or golf bags. | €395 |
| Minivan 5-8 passengers, 8 suitcases. | €494 |
Single journey, VAT included, on toll-free roads; the AP-46 tunnel at Las Pedrizas is optional and settled separately if you want it. A return is exactly twice this figure. Starting at the train station or the cruise port changes nothing in the price.
Drop-off
In Úbeda the monumental quarter around Plaza Vázquez de Molina has narrow stone streets, and the parador and the palace hotels sit right on it; the driver brings the car to the square or the nearest permitted corner. Baeza's centre is smaller and mostly flat, with hotels around the Paseo de la Constitución that the car reaches directly. If you are staying in one town and visiting the other, tell us which is home for the night.

Our longest road north: two hours and forty minutes to the Renaissance
Úbeda and Baeza are the furthest destinations we serve to the north, 250 kilometres and about 160 minutes from Málaga Airport. The route runs through Antequera on the A-45, along the A-92 to the Granada ring road, up the A-44 past Jaén and finally along the A-316, a dual carriageway across the olive plateau of La Loma. Nothing on the way has a toll. The two towns are nine kilometres apart, share one fixed price of €329 for the sedan, and were declared World Heritage together for their sixteenth-century palaces, churches and squares.
Arriving in two towns built for horses, not cars
Both centres are compact and mostly pedestrian. In Úbeda the driver reaches the edge of the monumental quarter, typically the Plaza de Andalucía or the streets below the Vázquez de Molina square, and the Parador, in a palace on that square, allows a car to the door for luggage. In Baeza the same applies around the cathedral and the Plaza del Pópulo: the driver stops where the car is allowed and walks the last hundred metres with you. Hotels on the outer ring roads of either town are reached at the kerb.
Because the two towns are so close, many guests stay in one and visit the other by local taxi or bus; if you would like us to move you between them during your stay, or to collect you from one and drop you at the other, ask for a quote.
The plateau of La Loma and its seasons
La Loma is a long ridge of olive groves between the Guadalquivir and the Guadalimar, and the towns sit on its crest with views over both valleys. Spring and autumn are the pleasant seasons; the olive harvest runs from November to January and fills the roads with tractors and the air with the smell of the mills. Summers are dry and very hot in the afternoon, winters cold and clear. Whatever the month, the drive across the plateau is the most scenic part of the journey.
Planning a transfer this long
We ask for 48 hours' notice, as for every route over 150 kilometres, and the driver is yours for the whole run without changes of vehicle. Small groups fit in the sedan; families with more luggage take the estate at €395, and parties of five to eight the minivan at €494. Most passengers ask for one rest stop on the A-44 near Jaén, which the driver includes without touching the price. On the day, the driver follows your flight and adjusts the pickup to the real landing time.

Local tips for your arrival
- Tell us which of the two towns you are staying in; the price is the same but the driver plans the last stretch differently.
- Ask for the rest stop near Jaén; on a 160-minute drive most passengers are glad of it.
- During the olive harvest, from November to January, allow ten extra minutes for slow farm traffic on the A-316.
- Book 48 hours ahead and send the flight number; a delay moves the pickup at no cost.
Back to Málaga from Úbeda and Baeza
For the return we collect you at the Parador door in Úbeda, on the ring road in Baeza or at any hotel or farmhouse in the area. The drive to Málaga Airport is 160 minutes; add two hours in the terminal, two and a half in summer or for a non-Schengen flight, so for a five o'clock departure leave at about noon. If your onward journey is by train from Málaga, or you sail from the cruise port, we drop you there for the same price.
From the train station or the cruise port
The fixed price to Úbeda and Baeza is the same from Málaga-María Zambrano train station and from the cruise port. Choose your origin in the form; the driver meets you at the platform exit or outside the cruise terminal.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a taxi from Málaga Airport to Úbeda and Baeza?
The fixed fare to Úbeda and Baeza is €329 for a sedan carrying up to four people, €395 for the estate with the large boot and €494 for the minivan for five to eight. Bags, waiting time and VAT are included and the motorway carries no toll.
How long is the drive from Málaga Airport to Úbeda and Baeza?
Around 160 minutes for the 250 km, on dual carriageway for almost all of it. Summer Sundays, snow on the mountain roads and city festivals can stretch that; the driver allows for them when he sets your pickup.
Is a transfer to Úbeda and Baeza cheaper if we stay in Baeza?
The price covers the whole run to either town, so it is the same whether you finish in Baeza or carry on to Úbeda. Baeza is on the way, so if you stay there we simply stop earlier. If you need to drop someone in Baeza and then continue to Úbeda, mention it when you book and we confirm whether the driver can do it.
Is the price the same for Úbeda and for Baeza?
Yes. The two towns are nine kilometres apart on the same road, so they share the fixed price of €329 for a sedan, €395 for the estate and €494 for the minivan, one way, from Málaga Airport, the train station or the cruise port.
Can we visit Jaén on the way to Úbeda?
Yes, as a stop of an hour or two arranged when you book. The driver waits in Jaén and continues to Úbeda or Baeza afterwards; the extra waiting time is quoted separately, and the road from Jaén to La Loma takes about fifty minutes.
Is there a train or bus alternative for the return?
There is a regional train to Linares-Baeza station, some way outside Baeza, and buses to Jaén and Granada; timetables are on the operators' sites. Most guests prefer the direct car back to the airport, which takes 160 minutes door to door with no changes.
Where exactly will I find the driver at Málaga Airport?
Inside the arrivals hall of Terminal 3, standing with a board that shows your name. Every arriving flight, Terminal 2 ones included, walks out through that same hall, so there is only one place to look.
How much notice do the long routes need?
Two days for anything beyond 150 kilometres: Seville, Córdoba, Jaén, Úbeda, Almería, Roquetas, Mojácar, Sierra Nevada, Lanjarón and Guadix. The car and the driver are set aside for most of a day. Nearer destinations are usually confirmed the same day.
