Taxi Málaga Airport → Córdoba
Córdoba is the shortest of our long-distance runs: 160 km and about an hour and three quarters, all of it on the A-45. The road climbs out of Málaga, passes Antequera and then rolls north through Lucena and the olive country of the Subbética before dropping into the Guadalquivir valley. There is no toll on the way unless you ask for the AP-46 tunnel shortcut, which is paid separately. Book 48 hours ahead.
Prices by vehicle
| Vehicle | Total price (VAT included) |
|---|---|
| Sedan 1-4 passengers, 3 suitcases. | €239 |
| Estate 1-4 passengers, 5 suitcases, skis or golf bags. | €287 |
| Minivan 5-8 passengers, 8 suitcases. | €359 |
Single journey, VAT included, on toll-free roads; the AP-46 tunnel at Las Pedrizas is optional and settled separately if you want it. A return is exactly twice this figure. Starting at the train station or the cruise port changes nothing in the price.
Drop-off
The lanes around the Mezquita and through the Judería are pedestrian or camera-controlled, so a hotel inside the old walls usually has its own agreed access: a side street, a small square or a set time window. Your driver knows the usual ones and will check yours beforehand. Everywhere else, including the AVE station, the Vial Norte hotels and the Ciudad Jardín district, the car stops right at the entrance and helps unload.

What awaits you
- The Mezquita-Catedral and the Judería
- Roman bridge and the Calahorra tower
- Flower-filled patios and the Alcázar gardens
The inland road: Antequera, Lucena and the last hills before the Guadalquivir
Córdoba is an hour and three quarters north of Málaga Airport by the A-45, and the whole road is free of tolls. After the climb over Las Pedrizas the motorway runs past Antequera and through the olive country of the Subbética, with Lucena and Montilla on either side, before dropping to the Guadalquivir valley and the city. It is a quiet road with little traffic outside the morning rush into Córdoba, which is why our 105-minute estimate holds most days of the year. The fixed fare of €239 covers the car for up to four passengers, luggage, waiting time and VAT.
Reaching a hotel in the Judería
The old quarter around the Mezquita is a web of lanes barely wider than the car, and access is restricted to residents and to hotel guests whose plate has been registered. Most hotels in the Judería ask for your car details before arrival; give us the hotel name at booking and we send the plate. If your accommodation cannot register vehicles, the driver stops at the closest permitted point, generally on the Ronda de Isasa by the river or on Cardenal González, and walks the last two hundred metres with your bags.
Hotels outside the old quarter, in the Centro around Tendillas and the Gran Capitán, or near the AVE station, are reached like any city street. The station forecourt has a taxi lane where private transfers may stop for a moment, useful if you are continuing to Madrid by high-speed train.
May, the Patios and the hottest summer in Spain
The first fortnight of May is the Festival de los Patios, when private courtyards open to visitors and the Judería fills from mid-morning. Streets do not close as in Seville, but parking and stopping become difficult and the driver may need an extra loop to reach your hotel. Córdoba is also famous for its summer heat; in July and August afternoons regularly pass forty degrees. An early flight and a morning arrival make the difference, and the car is air-conditioned from the terminal to the door.
Who travels this route with us
Many of our Córdoba passengers are couples or small groups combining the Mezquita with a night or two before continuing to Seville or Granada, and for them we can quote the onward leg as a separate transfer. Families use the estate at €287 when they carry more than three suitcases, and groups of five to eight the minivan at €359. We also collect at Córdoba hotels for the return to Málaga, so a one-way in each direction can be booked as a single return.

Local tips for your arrival
- Tell us the hotel name at booking so we can send the car's plate for the Judería access system.
- For the Patios festival in May, book early and expect the last five minutes in the old quarter to take longer.
- If you continue to Seville or Granada afterwards, ask for a quote for that leg with the same driver.
- In summer choose a morning arrival if you can; Córdoba afternoons are the hottest in mainland Spain.
Back to Málaga from Córdoba
For the return to Málaga Airport, Málaga station or the cruise port, the driver collects you at the hotel or at the river road if your hotel is deep in the Judería. Count 105 minutes to the airport plus two hours in the terminal, two and a half in summer or for flights outside Schengen; for a four o'clock flight leave Córdoba at about half past twelve. If you arrive by AVE from Madrid and fly out of Málaga the same day, we can collect you at Córdoba station instead.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a taxi from Málaga Airport to Córdoba?
The fixed fare to Córdoba is €239 for a sedan carrying up to four people, €287 for the estate with the large boot and €359 for the minivan for five to eight. Bags, waiting time and VAT are included and the motorway carries no toll.
How long is the drive from Málaga Airport to Córdoba?
Around 105 minutes for the 160 km, on dual carriageway for almost all of it. Summer Sundays, snow on the mountain roads and city festivals can stretch that; the driver allows for them when he sets your pickup.
Is it worth booking a transfer to Córdoba during the Patios festival in May?
Yes, but plan the drop-off. During the first half of May the streets of the Alcázar Viejo, San Basilio and Santa Marina fill with visitors and some close to traffic in the afternoon. Give us your hotel name and we agree the closest unloading point with the driver. The fixed price does not change for the festival.
How long does the transfer from Málaga Airport to Córdoba take at night?
About the same as by day, 105 minutes, because the A-45 has little traffic after dark and the city streets are empty. The driver tracks your flight, so a late landing simply moves the pickup; you are not charged more for a night arrival.
Can the driver take us straight to the Mezquita before the hotel?
Yes. Tell us at booking or on the way and the driver drops you at the nearest permitted point to the Mezquita, on the river side, then continues with your luggage to the hotel if it is within the city. A longer wait or a second stop elsewhere is quoted separately.
Do I need to book the Córdoba transfer in advance?
Please give us 48 hours. Córdoba is one of the routes over 150 km on which we reserve a car and a driver for most of a day, and with that notice we confirm by email within the hour.
Where exactly will I find the driver at Málaga Airport?
Inside the arrivals hall of Terminal 3, standing with a board that shows your name. Every arriving flight, Terminal 2 ones included, walks out through that same hall, so there is only one place to look.
How much notice do the long routes need?
Two days for anything beyond 150 kilometres: Seville, Córdoba, Jaén, Úbeda, Almería, Roquetas, Mojácar, Sierra Nevada, Lanjarón and Guadix. The car and the driver are set aside for most of a day. Nearer destinations are usually confirmed the same day.
