Taxi Málaga Airport → Marinas de Nerja Beach & Spa

Marinas de Nerja Beach & Spa is an apartment hotel on the eastern edge of town, right beside the N-340 and facing the sea. Rather than rooms it offers apartments with kitchens, plus pools, gardens and a spa, which makes it popular with families and with longer stays. The old centre is a decent walk or a short drive away.

Drop-off

Coming from Málaga the driver stays on the A-7 past the first Nerja exit and drops down towards the coast road, arriving at the complex from the N-340. There is room to pull in at reception, so the car stops at the entrance and your bags come straight out of the boot.

Staying on the A-7 past the town

The route is the same eastbound motorway as any Nerja transfer, roughly 55 minutes from the airport, but the last exit is different. Instead of turning off at the main Nerja junction, the driver continues to the eastern side of town, drops down to the old coast road and follows the N-340 for the final stretch. The complex is right there beside the road, on the sea side, with its entrance and reception in front of you. The distance is 70 km and the whole run avoids the town centre, which is a bonus on summer evenings when Nerja's streets are slow.

An apartment complex for families and long stays

Marinas de Nerja is built as apartments around pools and gardens, with the spa and the beach on the seaward side, so most guests arrive with more luggage than a typical hotel stay: beach kit, a pushchair, a week's worth of clothes. Our estate car takes five cases and the minivan eight, and the driver unloads everything at reception, from where it is a lift or a short walk to your apartment. There is no pedestrian zone and no steep street here; the only thing to remember is that the centre of Nerja is a fair walk west along the coast, so plan on a stroll or a local taxi for evenings in the old town.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a taxi from Málaga Airport to Marinas de Nerja Beach & Spa?

The fixed fare to Marinas de Nerja Beach & Spa is €95 for a sedan carrying up to four people, €114 for the estate with the large boot and €143 for the minivan for five to eight. Bags, waiting time and VAT are included and the motorway carries no toll.

How long is the drive from Málaga Airport to Marinas de Nerja Beach & Spa?

Around 55 minutes for the 70 km, on dual carriageway for almost all of it. Summer Sundays, snow on the mountain roads and city festivals can stretch that; the driver allows for them when he sets your pickup.

Does the driver take the motorway all the way, or the coast road through Torrox?

The A-7 all the way to Nerja, which is faster and smoother than the old N-340 hugging the shore. The motorway runs above the towns, so you only glimpse the sea until the descent into Nerja itself. The coast road is prettier but slower, especially crawling through Torrox Costa on a summer evening.

Is a minivan worth it for a family with beach gear?

For up to four passengers with a lot of bags, the estate car is usually enough: five cases or a mix of cases and pushchairs. From five people, or four with bulky items, the minivan carries eight cases comfortably. Everything is unloaded at the reception of Marinas de Nerja, not on the roadside.

Do we pass through the town centre on the way?

No. The driver keeps to the A-7 and enters the complex from the N-340 on the eastern side, so you avoid Nerja's narrow central streets completely. If you would rather be dropped in the centre instead of at the apartments, just tell us when you book.

Where exactly will I find the driver at Málaga Airport?

Inside the arrivals hall of Terminal 3, standing with a board that shows your name. Every arriving flight, Terminal 2 ones included, walks out through that same hall, so there is only one place to look.
